Interim Superintendent Derek Folan, Principal Jeff Sperling and National Honor Society Adviser Jennifer Sousa are pleased to share that 82 students were inducted into Canton High School’s NHS chapter at a ceremony on Monday, December 13.

During the ceremony, NHS officers Pooja Subramanian and Mia Galvin spoke about the four pillars of the National Honor Society — character, community service, scholarship and leadership — and what those pillars mean to CHS students. Also delivering remarks were Sperling, Folan, School Committee Chair Kristian Merenda, and math teacher Paul Dybdahl, who was voted by the inductees to be this year’s faculty speaker.

Inductees then received a certificate of membership before participating in a candle-lighting ceremony.

See this week’s Citizen for a full list of NHS inductees as well as a recap of CHS World Language Honor Society inductions and the Galvin Middle School term 1 honor roll list.
