By Canton CitizenJacqueline Mary “Jackie” Bassett, 67, passed away on November 14, 2021.
Jackie was born in Boston on June 22, 1954, to Anne Dobbins Bassett and Harold D. Bassett. The second eldest of seven children, Jackie was raised in Dorchester. She graduated from Fontbonne Academy in Milton; Laboure College (LPN) and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing (RN). Jackie worked as a nurse at several Massachusetts hospitals before she returned to school. She received her MBA from Babson College and then pursued a career at State Street Bank.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children: Vicki Auger Goetz of Taunton, Diane Auger Nero and her husband, Jeff, of Pascoag, RI, and Mark Auger of Easton; grandchildren Jade Goetz, Wendy Goetz, Thomas Auger and Finley Auger; and siblings Stephanie Bassett, Harold Bassett, Jr., Denise Bassett Rosbicki, John Bassett, Anne Bassett McCourt and Terri Bassett Malone.
A visitation for Jackie was held on Saturday, November 20, at the Pushard Family Funeral Home in Canton. Jackie’s children will say their final goodbye to their mother and spread her ashes at a later date on Nantucket, a place dear to Jackie’s heart.
