Alda “Ida” Carrozza (Aprea) of Canton passed away May 1.

Born and raised in Hyde Park, she graduated from Girls Trade School in Boston. She lived in Canton for 67 years. Alda worked at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton for many years as an adaptive clothing designer and seamstress. She was diligent, resourceful, resilient and strong. She was an outstanding cook and baker; she loved traveling abroad and playing bingo. She also loved reading, a passion she passed along to her children.

Beloved wife for 63 years of the late John A. Carrozza. Mother of Linda M. Carrozza (Michael Channick), John P. Carrozza (Cathy), Paul F. Carrozza (Luz), Diane M. Patenaude (Timothy), and Lisa M. Carrozza (John Halnon). She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian (Brian Kennedy), Anthony, Casey, Alex, Grace and Giana. She was the last surviving sibling of Madeline, Rosina, Nellie, Joe, Rocco, Rose, John, Margie, Josephine, Frankie, Anna and George. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
