By

Richard P. Carco, 73, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, sadly passed away on February 9, 2021 at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. He will be missed by many.

Born on September 4, 1947, Richie, as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Canton. He is survived by his girlfriend of over 30 years, Candy Malone, of Norwood. Richie worked for decades at Matt Kelly’s Pub in Canton Center where he was surrounded daily by friends who cared for and loved him. He had a passion for the ocean, walking along the canal and watching barges sail through the canal, riding his bike, motorcycles and trains.

Due to COVID, a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being made through Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home in West Roxbury. Donations may be made in Richie’s honor to Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust to DAV Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or https://cst.dav.org/contributions.
