After a nearly six-year wait, the much beloved Metropolis Skating Rink on Route 138 reopened to local youth hockey groups on Tuesday, November 24. The state-owned and town-operated rink, affectionately known as “Ponky,” has been fully renovated and will serve as the home rink this winter for the defending champion CHS boys and girls ice hockey teams.
