Chris Connolly, the current chairman of the Board of Selectmen, is running for reelection. Connolly was elected to the board in April 2017 and has also served as vice chairman during his three-year term. He is also a member of the Paul Revere Heritage Commission and the Traffic Committee.

Prior to his election to the Board of Selectmen, Connolly served for 10 years as a member of the Planning Board. He is a practicing local attorney who specializes in real estate and business law. He is a graduate of Holy Cross and Suffolk University Law School.

Chris and his wife, Deb, have lived in Canton for 21 years and their children, Jake and Maggie, attended Canton Public Schools, graduating from Canton High School in 2018 and 2019.

“I believe that the town is thriving under the leadership of the Board of Selectmen,” said Connolly. “The current board members work very collaboratively to set policy and strategic direction for the town. Each member has demonstrated leadership and integrity for the town. I am excited for the opportunity to serve a second term for the town.”

Connolly is holding a reelection campaign kickoff event on Sunday, February 9, from 3-6 p.m. at the Canton Junction Sports Pub at 399 Neponset Street. All are welcome to attend.
