Canton PD making progress in shots fired investigation

By

Police have some leads and are making progress in their investigation into a possible road rage incident last month in which a driver fired several shots at another vehicle.

The incident occurred shortly before noon on Friday, March 8, at the intersection of York and Randolph streets. A 911 caller to the station said she witnessed a male getting out of a white SUV and then firing several rounds into a black sedan. Officers found ballistic evidence that confirmed the shooting, although both vehicles fled the scene, possibly down York Street, which leads to Stoughton.

Police Chief Ken Berkowitz said his officers are “making good progress on the case” and have identified the victim; however, the victim is not yet cooperating with investigators.
