CFKWC to host annual ‘Not Quite the Marathon’

By

On Sunday, April 14, Cops for Kids with Cancer will hold its fourth annual “Not Quite the Marathon” 5K road race, which starts and finishes at the Canton Junction Sports Pub at 399 Neponset Street.

All of the proceeds from the race will benefit Cops for Kids with Cancer, a Boston-based nonprofit that raises money for families caught in the web of pediatric cancer. Funding is used to help offset costs associated with cancer treatment, including co-pays, parking fees, and lost wages.

Key sponsors of this year’s road race include CrossFit Home Base, Sam Adams, Bank of Canton, Wegmans, and Tito’s Vodka.

There will be a post-race celebration with raffles, music and more.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. The advance registration fee is $30 for runners over 14 and $15 for runners 14 and under. For race details and to register, visit active.com and search for “not quite the marathon.”
