Virginia A. Aufiero (Caradonna), 89, of Canton, passed away February 23 at the Copley at Stoughton.

Born in Boston, she was raised in East Boston and West Roxbury and graduated from Fitton High School in East Boston. She has lived in Canton since 1962 and worked as a clerk for the Department of Revenue for 13 years before retiring. She also worked at the family business, Caradonna’s Liquor Store in Canton and Stoughton, which she co-owned with her sister Ann.

Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Mother of James P. Aufiero and his wife, Sharon, of Canton, Ken Aufiero and his longtime companion, Kerry Carr, of NJ, and Mark Aufiero and his wife, Jamie, of Easton. Loving grandmother of Kevin Aufiero and his fiancée, Caroline Scannell, Kelsie Aufiero and Mia Aufiero. Sister of the late Ann Arico and Marie Wisneski. Sister-in-law of Charles Arico of Canton.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
