Cheryl A. Rintala (Morrison), 54, of Norton, formerly of Sharon, passed away January 21 at Norwood Hospital.

Born in Norwood, she was raised in Sharon and graduated from Southeastern Regional High School in Easton. She worked as a school crossing guard for the town of Sharon for many years. Cheryl was also previously a coach and registrar for Sharon Pop Warner and a member of the Fourth of July Committee for the town of Sharon. She was also active in the Girl Scouts and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod and camping at Robins Pond.

Beloved wife of Donald J. Rintala. Mother of Hayley M. Emerson and her husband, Nicholas, of Norton. Grandmother of Jonathan Emerson of Norton. Oldest daughter of the late Duncan A. Morrison Jr. and the late Barbara Morrison. Sister of Susan and her husband, Steven Weiner, of Norton and Ellen Morrison of Norton, formerly of Sharon. Cousin of James Tyrell and his wife, Lori, of Canton. Niece of Nancy Parsons and her husband, Richard, of Canton. Also survived by nieces and nephews Daniel and Kimberly Morrison, formerly of Sharon, and Christopher, Matthew, Kaitlyn and Brittney Weiner, and one great-niece, Emma Weiner, all from Norton.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a memorial service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Saturday, February 2, at 11 a.m. Burial private. Donations may be made in her memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Pl., Boston, MA 02215.
