Remiesiewicz, Joseph S.
By Canton CitizenJoseph S. Remiesiewicz, 91, of Canton, passed away September 30 at the Charlwell House in Norwood.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, he graduated from Woonsocket High School and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Patten’s Corp. as a heating and air conditioning technician and later worked at Shaw’s in Canton for over 20 years before retiring. He had lived in Canton for almost 60 years and was a member of the American Legion Post #24, Canton VFW, and the Knights of Columbus Council 2095.
Beloved husband of the late Beverly M. (Hammond). Father of Joyce Whelpley of MI, Eric Remiesiewicz of Canton, Janice Hughes of FL, Leo Remiesiewicz of Fairhaven, and Maria Remiesiewicz of North Attleboro. Brother of Stella Woods of TX. Also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
