Albert A. Scott, Jr., 88, of Walpole, passed away June 9 at Wingate at Sharon surrounded by his loving family.

Scott, Albert copyBorn in Boston, he was raised in Arlington and attended Arlington schools. He went on to attend Worcester Academy and Norwich University and then served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After his military service he graduated from Tufts University and attended Williams College School of Banking and Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Al had a long, distinguished career in banking from outside collector to senior vice president and senior commercial loan officer. He worked for Norfolk County Trust Company and Guaranty First Trust Co. where he was senior vice president and senior commercial loan officer. He finished his career working for American Profit Recovery Co.

He was an avid golfer and club champion at Sharon Country Club and five-time club champion at Blue Hill Country Club. Al was a longtime member of the Union Congregational Church in East Walpole where he received the Deacon Emeritus Award. He was a member and past master of the Charity Lodge in Cambridge and the Azure Lodge in Walpole and was a recipient of the Joseph Warren Medal. Al was also a past selectman for the town of Walpole during the late 1970s.

Beloved husband of Frances K. (Kendall). Father of Deidre C. Scott of Canton and Albert A. Scott III and his wife, Rebecca, of Walpole. Grandfather of Albert A. Scott IV of Wrentham and Kali and Lily Scott, both of Walpole.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Congregational Church of Canton, 1541 Washington Street, Saturday at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Saturday at the Congregational Church prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
