Ekberg, Alice M.

Alice M. Ekberg (Logan), 97, of Canton, formerly of Bourne and Martha’s Vineyard, passed away February 24, 2018, at Seasons Hospice in Milton.

Born and raised in Dedham, she attended Dedham schools and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Alice worked in the Human Resource Department for many years with the Northrop Co. in Norwood. She was an avid gardener and a past member of the Garden Club in Martha’s Vineyard.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Ekberg. Loving mother of Donna Smith of Canton and Karen Colahan of Uxbridge. Sister of William Logan of FL and the late Richard Logan. Also survived by her cherished five grandchildren, Jonathan, Michelle and Eric Covell, and Leah and Adam Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Michael Vogel, Tyler, Mackenzie and Harrison Covell, Lilliana and Sydney Agan, and Teagan Laffin; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours in the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, on Friday from 3-7 p.m. Funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
