Albert V. Powers, Sr., 80, of Sandwich, formerly of Canton, passed away at home January 13 surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Canton, he graduated from St. John’s School and was a lifelong resident of Canton before moving to Sandwich in 1998. He previously worked at the Quincy Shipyard and more recently was the maintenance director at Blue Hills Regional School in Canton for many years before retiring. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the Sharon Country Club and loved to travel to Disney World every year with his wife …
