Benson, William

William Bruce Benson, 77, of Foxboro, formerly of Canton, died peacefully August 29, 2016, following a three-year battle with cancer. He was 77 years old.

Bruce was born in Brockton and was the son of the late Peter E. Benson, Sr. of Oslo, Norway, and the late Lydia S. Benson of Boston. He was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and was a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic who worked for the Podgurski Corporation in Canton for many years.
