Stapleton, Donald M.

Donald M. Stapleton, Sr., of Canton and Mashpee, passed away July 1 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chelsea, he was raised in Roxbury and graduated from Commerce High School in Boston and attended Northeastern University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Donald has lived in Canton since 1974 and was the clerk magistrate of the Stoughton District Court for 38 years before retiring in 2009. He was the past president of the Clerk Magistrates Association, a member of the American Legion Post #24, and enjoyed spending time at his summer home in Popponesset Beach and spending many winters in Puerto Rico …
