Blanchard, Ralph S.

Ralph S. Blanchard, Jr., of Canton, passed away May 26 at the Charlwell House in Norwood.

Born and raised in Waltham, he attended Waltham schools and was a World War II veteran of the Army Corps of Engineers. He spent his career as a professor of mechanical engineering at Northeastern University in Boston as an associate professor, an associate dean, and then professor emeritus. He was also active in his community where he was a founding member of the St. James Lutheran Church, a past chairman of the Canton Conservation Commission, and a former member of the Finance Committee …
