David P. Smith, 73, of Canton, passed away April 22 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School, Northeastern University, University of Stockholm in Sweden, and received his MBA from the University of Michigan. David enjoyed a long career in the travel industry working in sales and marketing for TWA and Pan American Airlines, and he went on to work for Heritage Travel, Thomas Cook Travel/American Express Travel and Garber Travel. He later worked for El Al Israel Airlines in Boston and Washington, D.C. before retiring in 2009 …
