Peter Mark Flynn, 88, died peacefully April 1, 2016, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer and Parkinson’s disease.

Peter was a self-proclaimed “last of the born at home babies,” born in Canton on June 25, 1927, a son of the late William and Mary (Niland) Flynn. Peter was raised in Canton and graduated from St. John High School, after which he joined the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. Peter was a resident of Bedford, NH, since 2001, having lived in Canton and Falmouth and wintering on the Isle of Capri in Naples, FL, for the past 25 years. He was an owner and partner for 33 years in Crowell’s Market and Liquor Store, having worked for Draper Corporation prior to acquiring Crowell’s. Peter was a Grand Knight in the Canton Knights of Columbus at a very young age; a 4th Degree Knight in the San Marco Knights; and a member of Bedford Knights since moving to New Hampshire.
