Russell, Richard V.

Richard V. Russell Jr. (Russ), 75, of Canton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 22, 2014, following a brief illness.

Richard was the only son of the late Richard V. Sr. and Eleanor Russell of Canton. He was a proud retired Canton firefighter who served for 30 years until retiring in 1998. Richard worked for many years at his father’s business, Russell Coal and Oil Company, where he developed lifelong relationships with customers. He later enjoyed working for the Lamparelli Oil Company in Canton. Richard was on the board of directors for the Canton Town Club. He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Firefighters Local #1580 as well as the American Legion Beatty Post #24 and the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 in Canton …
