On Saturday, December 20, Nick and Mary Bartone received a special holiday surprise as 18 local children and their parents stopped by to pay a visit.

The Bartones, ages 97 and 93, respectively, have been temporarily displaced following a fire at their Endicott Street home on Thanksgiving Eve. Their daughter Barbara said it was heartwarming to see each child introduce themselves to her parents and shower them with gifts, some of which were homemade.

Nick and Mary were overwhelmed but very thankful and loved meeting all of the children and their parents. Kate Cunningham organized this wonderful time and the following families took part: the Khourys, Crowleys, Draper-Shauls, Colsons, Grossmans, Lennons, Trendells, Gormans, McCabes, Cunninghams and McShains.

The Bartone family would also like to thank the anonymous donors for their generous gift during this holiday season and difficult time.
