By Canton CitizenJohn J. “Jack” McHugh, of Canton, originally from Dorchester, passed away November 30 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, he graduated from Dorchester High School in 1947 and attended both Boston College and Northeastern University. Jack was employed his entire professional career at the Boston Globe, finishing his distinguished career as a loaned executive from the Globe to the United Way. He was a member and past president of the Franklin Typographical Society, a member of the Boston Typo Sports Association, member and secretary of the Printing and Publishing Council of New England, member of the International Typographical Union at the Boston Post and Boston Globe, and a member of the board of directors of the Tri-County Unit of the American Cancer Society …
