Bennett A. Hurley, of Canton, died peacefully in the comfort of his home March 17, 2014.

HurleyBorn and raised in Winthrop, Bennett moved to Canton with his wife in 1972 and worked as a mechanical engineer and project manager in the power plant industry.

Loving son of the late Patrick and Dorothy (Bennett). Devoted husband of Maureen Hurley (O’Malley). Loving father of Michael P. Hurley and his wife, Cristina, Patrick B. Hurley and his wife, Jennifer, and Sean B. Hurley, all of Canton. Brother of William Hurley and his wife, Sandra, of Winthrop, and Thomas Hurley and his wife, Christina, of VA. Proud grandfather of Dana, Brynn and Rowan Hurley. Loving uncle of Christopher Hurley, Robert Hurley, Jennifer Herrey, Jean Holgersen, Brian Hurley and Kevin Hurley.

Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Friday from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
