An independent film on “Batman” by Canton native Tom Mariano was filmed at Canton Police headquarters on Washington Street on Saturday, February 1. Mariano, who has acted in several films, shot footage inside and outside of the building, including shots of the interrogation room. The film will be aired in America and Europe in late 2014 or 2015. Police Chief Ken Berkowitz said Mariano chose Canton because his family lives in the town. The film, titled “Caped Crusader: The Dark Hours,” will delve into the psyche of Batman as the character Bruce Wayne learns truths about the world he lives in.
