Feeney, William J.
By Canton CitizenWilliam J. Feeney, 88, of Canton, passed away December 25 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Boston, he graduated from South Boston High School. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Feeney worked as a stationary engineer for the State Trial Court for 55 years before retiring. He has lived in Canton since 1968 and was a member of the South Boston Yacht Club.
Beloved husband of Mary F. (Donohue). Father of Kevin T. and William F. Feeney, both of Canton. Brother of Col. Paul Feeney, retired U.S. Army, of Canton, Robert C. Feeney of Squantum, Eleanor Mahoney of Hingham, Joseph Feeney of Squantum, and the late Marguerite Horrigan, Edward Feeney, Ruth Sullivan, Leo Feeney, Francis Feeney and Dorothy Mulcahy.
A funeral mass was held Monday morning, December 30, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
