Haggerty, Maryann H.

Maryann H. Haggerty, 61, of Canton, formerly of Massapequa, New York, died Monday, November 25, 2013, after a brief illness.

Maryann was a lifelong resident of Massapequa, where she worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and adored her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Anne Haggerty. Loving mother of Maureen Arndt of Scotia, NY, Michael Sapanara and his wife, Kristen, of Norwich, CT, and Maryann Sapanara and her husband, Ilya Kaplun, of Canton. She is also survived by her six grandchildren.

Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Friday, November 29, from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. If desired, donations in Maryann’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
