Police warn of FBI scam letter

The Canton Police Department posted a warning on its Facebook page about a scam letter that has been circulating in the area. The author of the letter identifies himself as a special agent from the FBI and claims that they found boxes containing millions of dollars at a New York City airport, as well as documents connecting the money to the recipient. The author asks for proof of ownership and warns the recipient that failing to respond will result in charges of tax evasion and money laundering.
