Former players and their families gathered last Saturday at the Jenkins home to celebrate five years since the Canton Junior Little League team went to the World Series in Michigan in 2008. That summer the team won the district and state championships, and the families found themselves traveling to New Jersey where they clinched the New England Regionals. From there they went on to Michigan for the World Series.

Throughout the summer the families and players bonded through the travel and the games. It was great for everyone to come together and remember such a special time. Although five years has passed and the boys are now in their first or second year of college, the bond is so strong and will always be there. One mother said it was like hardly any time had passed. No one wanted to leave as the families enjoyed lobster, steak and steamers. As one coach remarked, “It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event and will always be a part of who we are. We are proud and proud to represent Canton as we did.”
