Friends seeking donations for annual book sale

By

The Friends of the Canton Public Library will host its annual book sale on Friday evening, October 18, and Saturday, October 19.

libraryThe Friday evening pre-sale is for Friends members only. Memberships will be sold at the door. Forms are also available at the library’s circulation desk or online at town.canton.ma.us/library/friends.html.

The Friends of the Library will gratefully accept donations from the community of gently used, recent books for children and adults, as well as DVDs, CDs and games in good condition. Book sale customers tend to purchase more recently published items so the Friends are especially looking for donations of newer best sellers and children’s items.

In order to ease the impact on library staff, it is asked that donations be dropped off on Thursdays through August and September between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Donors can also contact Mike Sundin at msundin1@aol.com to arrange another convenient drop-off time. Books are sorted on Thursdays, and the Friends will welcome any additional volunteers to assist in this process.

The Friends of the Canton Public Library provides support for programming, services, and equipment not available through the library’s municipal budget. To learn more about the Friends, visit their page on the library website or contact Sundin at the email address listed above.
