Albert J. Hayden of Sharon, formerly of Brockton, passed away July 21 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Born in Boston, he graduated from Hyde Park High and attended MIT. He worked for Raytheon Corporation in Waltham for many years before retiring in 1985. He lived in Sharon for the last 10 years and previously lived in Brockton and Canton. He was a member of the Isaiah Parker Mason’s Lodge in Newtonville for 45 years. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all the local Boston sports teams.

Beloved husband of Jean C. (Fairfield) and the late Barbara A. Father of Denise Hayden and Christine Atkins, both of Brockton, and the late Judith Taylor. Stepfather of Timothy Tetreault of Blackstone and Eugene Tetreault of Brockton. Brother of Charles Hayden of South Grafton and the late Lester Hayden. Also survived by eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 24, at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. Burial Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. Army veteran WWII. For guestbook, see dockrayandthomasfuneralhome.com.
