Girl Scout Festival

By

On Sunday, April 7, Girl Scouts from Canton and Stoughton came together for an international festival in the gymnasium at St. John the Evangelist Church. Hosted by Girl Scout troops 73403 and 74663, the festival is held each year to commemorate World Thinking Day, a day when all scouts learn about Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from other countries. The theme of this year’s festival was “Together we can save children’s lives.” Scouts donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, and Band-Aids to the Evelyn House Family Shelter in Stoughton. Each troop represented a different country and hosted a table where they provided information and explained what Girl Guiding is like in their country compared to Scouting in America.
