Photos 1-2: The Canton Council on Aging held a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day Bingo on March 17 at the Senior Center. The caller was Dottie Morris and many were in attendance, including Senator Brian Joyce, Selectman Avril Elkort, Citizen columnist Joe DeFelice, Adrian Morris, who donated lots of food, and COA Outreach Worker Robin Tobin. Photos 3-4: The Ponkapoag Civic Association hosted an Easter brunch on Sunday, March 24. The event featured arts and crafts, cupcake decorating, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Moira Sweetland photos
Photos 5-7: Secretary of Education Matt Malone visited the Canton schools on Wednesday, March 27. Malone viewed a robotics demonstration at Canton High School, stopped in to see the preschoolers at the Rodman Early Education Center, and attended a reception at the Galvin Middle School library, where he was treated to a performance by the GMS chorus. Photos 8-9: St. John the Evangelist School recently crowned the champion of its intramural dodgeball program. Pictured are team members George Kent, Shane Gunning, Brendan Gunning, Patrick Donahue, and Mary Kent. Also at St. John’s, student Jack Leary recently got a chance to man the front desk in his role as “Secretary for the Day.” Leary’s family was the winning bidder for this honor during the recent Rafflemania fundraiser for the school.
