The Canton Cobras U16 volleyball team won its first New England Region Volleyball Association tournament of the 2013 season with a series of impressive performances on Sunday, March 3, in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Cobras defeated two teams from Andover in the semifinals and finals to capture the 16A championship. Also competing in NERVA tournaments on March 3 were three U14 teams and one U18 team from Canton. All five teams are part of the Cobra Volleyball Club, a 12-year-old offseason Junior Olympic program founded by Arunas Kuncaitis.
