Reader disappointed with condition of Canton roads

By

Dear Editor:

This past Sunday, I drove from downtown Canton to Norwood Center. I found it very curious that every main thoroughfare in Canton, from Washington Street to Neponset Street, and including Sherman Street and Revere Street, had not been fully plowed down to the bare pavement by Sunday afternoon. There was probably an inch or two of thick snow and ice after the initial plowing, which made for very dangerous driving. As soon as I entered Norwood on Neponset Street by the Sunoco station, the road suddenly turned into bare pavement and was that way throughout Norwood. Even the condominium in Canton where I reside, which is a private road, had been plowed down to the bare pavement. Interesting that Norwood can do it but Canton cannot.
