Walsh, William J.
By Canton CitizenWilliam J. “Buzz” Walsh, 80, of Canton, died January 27, 2013, in Caritas Norwood Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Boston, he graduated from Boston Technical High School and Northeastern University, class of 1956. Buzz was a retired civil engineer for the Environmental Protection Agency. He was involved with Canton Youth Hockey, the Knights of Columbus Council #2095, and was a parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton.
Devoted husband of Ann R. Walsh (Campbell) of Canton. Loving father of Helen A. O’Brien and her husband, Edward, of Wrentham, William J. Walsh and his wife, Janet, of Franklin, and Edward T. Walsh and his wife, Ann, of Canton. Loving brother of Carol Dooley and her husband, John, of Dedham. Proud grandfather of Sean O’Brien, Michael O’Brien, Colleen Walsh, Alexandra Walsh, and Shayne Walsh.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 31, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton at 10 a.m. Interment Milton Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in Buzz’s memory to the Canton EMT Association, 99 Revere St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
