Hagen, Albert J.

Albert J. Hagen of Gorham, Maine, formerly of Canton, passed away at Spring Brook Manor in Westbrook, Maine, on December 4, 2012.

On Sunday, December 2, we were with Al to celebrate his 77th birthday. He was surrounded by family.

Al graduated from St. John’s Elementary School in 1949. In 1953 he graduated from Canton High School.

Being a nature enthusiast, 30 years ago Al vacationed on the coast of Maine. He instantly fell in love with the “beauty of it all, especially the little inhabitants that also share this beautiful space with us.”

Al leaves behind his beautiful wife, Carol Anne, and his three children, Debra, Jimmy and Nancy.

Al was the son of the late Laura E. Hagen of Canton.

He is survived by his brothers, Paul Hagen of Brockton and Richard Hagen of Canton, and his sister, Carol Hagen Romanelli of Stoughton.

Donations in Al’s memory may be kindly made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

A mass of remembrance will be celebrated at St. John’s Church on February 3, 2013, at 11:30 a.m.

Al will be dearly missed by those who love him.

May God grant him “eternal rest.”
