A combination of Canton and Massachusetts State Police and the Metro Area SWAT Team calmed a potentially dangerous domestic situation involving a firearm on Tuesday, November 20, at noon.

Milton police alerted Canton police to a domestic disturbance in which a man allegedly pointed a gun at a woman. The woman then drove the man back to where he parked his car at the Dunkin Donuts near the Blue Hills Reservation. The man sat in the parked car with an automatic weapon until he gave himself up to a combination of police units, which had surrounded the vehicle.

James M. Condon II, 37, of New Bedford, will be summoned to court to face charges of carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition, and receiving a firearm with a defaced number. He also faces domestic charges in Milton.
