Robert Michael Fairfield, 65, of Holbrook, passed away at his home on November 20, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. After graduating from high school he joined the military, serving in Germany as an MP during the Vietnam War. Having received an honorable discharge in 1968, Bob went to work as a union electrician for Local 103 for five years and went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years before retiring in 2012. He was a member of the DAV, enjoyed fishing, old cars, collecting watches, and was a science fiction enthusiast. Bob cherished his family, especially his granddaughter, Liliana.

Beloved husband of Elaine M. (Pari). Loving father of Nicole S. of Mansfield, Jessica E. of Avon, and Robert Daly of Wakefield. Brother of Fred E. of Canton, David A. of RI, Susan of NH, and Virginia of Canton. Also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Liliana, and many nieces and nephews.
