LoPilato, Gerardo H.
By Canton CitizenGerardo H. LoPilato, 71, of Canton, passed away October 30 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Mirabella, Italy, he came to the United States at the age of 26. He owned and operated Gerard’s Foreign Car Service in Roslindale for many years before retiring in 2002. He has lived in Canton for the last 41 years.
Beloved husband of Louise R. (Avellino). Father of Christopher LoPilato of Quincy, Maria DiLetizia, Rosie DiLetizia, Sylvia Ruscito, and Alfredo LoPilato, all of Canton, and Marc LoPilato of Walpole. Brother of Rosalba LoPilato, Alberto LoPilato, and Liliana Capone, all of Italy. Also survived by nine grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Saturday morning, November 3, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
