Charles Elmore Newcomb, 82, of Canton, died after a long illness at home after a visit by his family.

During the Korean War he served as a radar instructor in the Air Force. He worked for IBM and then was employee number five at Inforex. He resided in New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Kansas. He and his first wife, Betty Dash, are survived by two sons, Richard and Russell Newcomb, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by his second wife, June Nacey, and his companion, Anne Ladd.

Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne. A memorial is planned for a later date. Send donations to Paralyzed Vets of America, JFK Federal Building, Room 1575C, Boston, MA 02203.
