Becker, Cornelia ‘Nell’ T.

Cornelia “Nell” T. (Talpos) Becker, 94, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Canton and Sun City, AZ, passed away October 4.

Nell resided the past few years at River Oaks Place in Lenoir City, TN. She was a retired employee of the EPA in Boston. While in Sun City, she was an active member of the St. Clement’s Catholic Church Alter Guild.

Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Oliver R. Becker, her parents, Louis and Anna Talpos, and brothers Louis and John Talpos. Beloved mother of Nancy Ruane and her husband, John, of Marstons Mills; Oliver and his wife, Judy, of Lottsburg, VA; Bruce and his wife, Jackie, of Farragut, TN; Robert and his wife, Kris Walters, of Tumwater, WA; and William and his wife, Elizabeth. Also survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial in celebration of Nell’s life was held Wednesday morning, October 10, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park. Arrangements by the Roache-Pushard Family Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman Street.
