Praise, appreciation for the Canton Fire Dept.

Dear Chief Doody:

I am writing to extend our sincere gratitude to the town of Canton Fire Department and EMT group for their assistance in a medical emergency in our home.

On Friday, September 14, we were enjoying a normal, lovely afternoon. Out of the blue my husband experienced sudden excruciating pain, could not move, and his skin color was ashen. This happened in the blink of an eye.

The Canton Fire Department arrived within five minutes of my frantic call. Lt. Driscoll, Brendon Gallagher, and Donnie Lester immediately assessed his condition and calmed both my husband and myself. They were quickly joined by the EMT group, Greg Woodbury and Mike Moriarty. In a matter of minutes my husband was on his way to the hospital.

The technical expertise of this team is outdone only by their ability to calm a chaotic situation. The town of Canton can sleep well at night knowing that these exceptional professionals are looking out for all of us.

I hope no one in our town ever has to endure the numbing fear of watching a loved one suddenly fall into a serious medical crisis right before their eyes. But if they do, they can count on our Canton Fire and EMT team to be there, no matter the day or hour.

We will keep the entire team in our prayers and ask that God will watch over them.
