Canton resident wins gold at Falmouth Fun Run

Canton resident Erica MacSweeney raced her way to the gold medal in the girls’ 10-11 age group at the 12th annual SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run on Saturday, August 11. More than 500 runners ages 3 to 14 competed in various distance races, including an 800-meter run for the 10 and 11 year olds. Every participant took home an official race t-shirt, a medal, and a “fantasy finish-line photo.” Above: Race winner MacSweeney (center) poses after the race with the second and third place finishers as well as Michael O’Neill, SBLI’s senior VP of marketing and distribution, and Marybeth Leary, senior VP and corporate secretary.
