James J. Crowley, of Marysville, California, formerly of Canton, died on August 6, 2012.

Jim was the husband of the late Mary Evelyn Crowley, the love of his life for more than 30 years. He was the son of the late Joseph and Jeannette Crowley of Canton.

He enlisted in the Navy during World War II and served in the Pacific Theatre and also served in the Seabees during his 30 years of service. As a teenager, he loved to caddy at the Blue Hills Country Club in Canton where he found his passion to play golf. After retiring from the military service, he and his buddies would play golf every day.

Jim was the eldest of ten children. He leaves his sisters Ellen Jennison of Canton and Marion Carozza of Baltimore, MD, and brothers William of Sullivan, WI, Paul of Sanford, FL, and Peter of Winter Springs, FL. He was predeceased by sisters Jeanne McGrath and Frances Reidy, brothers Joseph and Johnny, and step-daughter Kenilyn Flood.

Funeral services are private.
