‘Independent’ study of Plymouth Rubber property should be just that

By

Dear Editor:

As a trustee of Paul Revere Village Condominium Trust, I am interested that the town is finally taking a proactive approach as to the best use of the former Plymouth Rubber Company locus. Having had some dealings with Attorney Bobrowski during my tenure on the Zoning Board of Appeals, I think you have made a good choice.

However, when a study is deemed to be “independent,” it should be just that. No input from vested interests, but just a gathering of facts and then a recommendation.

As far as the study goals are concerned, i.e., financial, traffic and environmental, the impact on our school system and direct abutters should be part of the formula.

We look forward to the study publication.

Sincerely,

Alan M. Leary

Vice-Chairperson

Paul Revere Village Condominium Trust
