On May 21, 14 young ladies walked from St. John the Evangelist School to Salon Monique at 776 Washington Street and donated their hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. The girls wore purple in honor of their special guest, St. John’s teacher Jean Keleher, who is battling pancreatic cancer.
