CYH Scholarship Dance

By

Canton Youth Hockey held its annual Scholarship Dance on Friday, January 27, at the Canton Town Club. The event was a tremendous success, attracting over 250 guests while raising thousands of dollars for the CYH scholarship fund.

The event featured entertainment by local favorite Jim Plunkett as well as a very special rendition of the national anthem performed by professional singer Rene Rancourt, who has sung the anthem at Boston Bruins home games since 1976 and previously sang at Fenway Park. Rancourt’s appearance fee was generously donated by Frank Lamparelli, owner of Lamparelli Oil.

The dance was once again organized by CYH Fundraising Director Bernadette Logan with assistance from CYH President Nick Maffeo. Each of the league’s hockey teams donated a raffle basket to help support the fundraising efforts.
