Albert J. Meda, 90, of Canton, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Brockton November 27. Born and raised in Quincy, he attended Quincy schools and graduated from Boston University and has lived in Canton since 1964.

He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and worked as an engineer for Merritt, Chapman & Scott Co. He was an active member of St. Gerard Majella Parish in Canton, where he previously served as the church sexton for over 25 years.

Beloved son of the late Helen M. (Fallon) and James A. Meda. Brother of Dorothy Bottos of Mashpee; cousin of Fred Meda of Norfolk. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 1, at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.

Donations may be made in his memory to “Our Neighbors in Need” c/o St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
