Historical Society announces December open houses

By

The Canton Historical Society will be open to the public every Sunday in December from 2-5 p.m. Come visit and explore our town’s rich history.

President Wally Gibbs will happily guide you through the museum’s priceless collections. Canton is proud of its role in American history, having been enriched by great patriots, industrialists, war heroes, thinkers and doers.

The Canton Historical Society is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose for 140 years has been collecting and preserving everything relating to Canton’s history. All of these priceless artifacts require tender, gentle handling.

To preserve these historic gems and maintain this beautiful museum, the society is currently selling a limited edition print of the Canton Viaduct. Also, several books by local authors on Canton history will be for sale at the museum. Telling where we came from, these books make great teaching tools and great additions to anyone’s library.

Please stop by with your family and acquaint yourself with your town — a town with a great past.
