Rogers, Marion E.

Marion E. Rogers (Lowry), 85, formerly of Canton, of Ocala, FL, passed away October 20 in Florida.

Born and raised in Canton, she graduated from Canton High School with honors in 1944 and went on to Bryant & Stratton Business School and Boston University, where she studied accounting. She worked for Layton Industries in Quincy for eight years as a bookkeeper.

She previously lived in Quincy and Weymouth and was a member of the Quincy YMCA. She enjoyed swimming, playing golf, ballroom dancing and fine arts. She retired to Ocala, FL, in 1990.

She was the beloved wife of 58 years to John Rogers. Mother of William Rogers and his wife, Chawiwan Phonthisaeng. Sister of Charlotte Perez and Ruth Morrison, and the late Karl Lowry, Walter Lowry and Madeline Gallacher. Daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Hastedt) Lowry.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements by the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
